This weekend runDisney is holding the 2nd Annual Star Wars Half Marathon in Disneyland. Every runDisney expo brings with it the opportunity to check new and upcoming medals for future events. Unlike the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend last week, the Star Wars expo had a new display showcasing the finisher medals for the 5th Anniversary of the Tinkerbell Half Marathon taking place in Disneyland over Mother’s Day weekend.
The medals are very similar to last year’s with the translucent wings on the half medal, but the addition of color on Tink really makes the design stand out. The 10k medal is the same as last year’s only without the translucent wings & the Pixie Dust Challenge medal remains unchanged. Traditionally, runDisney celebrates anniversary edition medals with a complete redesign. Maybe this will be the last year of the wings and we will see a new design taking its place for the next 5 years.
